Absence detection with retractive switch

Im looking for a bit of advice on how to correctly wire/connect an absence detector and retractive switch using a 5 core lighting trunking.

Not had to do this before, but been asked to do this as a homer in a small office

Try searching the web for "Dali ballast wiring" which should bring up some results. There will be a permanent feed to the lights and then a pair that connect to any PIR's or switches.

It is all to be done via 240v. I have worked on Dali systems before, which were simple. But never had to do it on mains!

If you're just using standard light fittings you can feed the PIR first and then a contactor and the refractive switch on the load side of the PIR. I'm mobile at the moment so I can't post a wiring diagram.

Won't this setup need some sort of timer, unless the PIR has the facility built in? What model of PIR are you using?

Blue to N.
Brown to Switched Line.
Black to Permanent Live.
Red and White to the other two terminals.
