Acess 2 Olci to 2357. Advice needed.

Hello watchers, I'm new, thanks for having me.

Advice needed.

I started training with the ill fated Access 2 trade careers a few years ago and was transferred to OLCI with everyone else. Although I wouldn't do it again I achieved a number of qualifications. 17th edition, Eal L2, 2392 testing, Pat testing. 2391, or whatever it's changed to, pending depending on Barclays finance. Don't ask.

I have been working for 3 years ish now and want the 2357 level 3 which I should have done in the first place. An expensive lesson learnt. OlCI says " Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Access were rubbish, you have to start again and it will cost you 6K". Thanks. I can't pay that but I also don't want to spend 3 years attending college. Is there some middle ground? I'm prepared to pay something and I'm prepared to go to some classes. Can I use my experience and current qualifications towards these new qualifications?

what do you mean by 17th edition, i,e when people say they have it its just a easy online exam costs £45, less you mean 2330 lvl2/3


are you working as a sparky now to that would help

By 17th I mean the 2382 city & guilds. Level 3 I think. I'm getting very confused with all the different qualifications especialy now with the changes. I've been working as a sparks for almost 3 years, commercial and domestic so I'm hoping I can use my experience to go towards the new qualifications. Should I be talking to colleges rather than the over priced private learning providers?

yea it is, am a j,i,b gold card sparkys and passed it when it was pt1/pt2


the best thing for you to do is ring up j.i.b or local college, and just they them what you have, then ask what you need to do the nvq lvl 3

but i think if you do not have 2360 pt1/2 or 2330 lvl2/3 you will fin it hard to get your j.i.b card

the quick courses are very miss leading in what the get you at
