A customer wants a fan added in their bathroom, not normally a problem, but I haven't done one before on a concrete ceiling, the existing wiring is in metal conduit by the way.
Ive suggested mini trunking from the light fitting to isolator then fan which he's not keen on & I'm not confident about chasing out the ceiling for structural reasons.
Any ideas on other options? :)

Been working in a property with concrete ceilings myself this week and they are a bit of a pain in the neck at the best of times. I wouldn't be comfortable chasing the ceilings out either. As well as the structural damage there's usually a lot of supporting metalwork in there too which would cause problems. As you said, it's either surface mount or if at all possible, the best solution would be to batten the ceiling out and fit new plasterboards etc. Know any good plasterers?

Chasing the ceiling is not an option you will find the reinforcing mat about 1” above the level of the ceiling, cut through that and the structural integrity is compromised. The mat will be in tension cut a bar and “twang” cut the next and the next and I hope you’ve got strong arms.
Don’t even think about it

Ya easy enough, you can chace around the room at celing hight, 150mm is the safe zone on the wall from the celing hight. the fan supply can be taken from any point if you are not using a timer fan, just insure the isolator is located outside the room, or over 0.6m outside zone 2 and 2.25m (see page 71 0f the on site guide).
hope this helps.

Never said you could, would require fusing down, and if no RCD would need supplimentry bonding, but you can take the feed from any circuit you like. but there again you should be qualified to do any of this work anyway.
