Hi all,
I have been asked to install a PIR outside light on a commercial property. The feed has to come from the existing lighting circuit inside the stockroom which is on a two way switch system. I need the PIR light to work independently from the switched inside lights. The outside light come prewired with regular twin and earth. Please advise on the best course of action. What is the best way to wire this?
Thanks

is it a led Pir security light. then the fly leads need to be put in a ip rated box from their weather you drill through a wall it is up to you
by taking a feed to switch & from their to the new led pir light

No offence to the OP but this is a straightforward issue. the fact the lighting circuit has 2 way switching is neither here nor there.
Find the feed, junction it taking a feed to the new light and incorporate a switch if required on the live. not rocket science and quite a straightforward job.
meant to add, despite having a pir on the new light fitting, quite a few of them have this function built in that flicking the switch rapidly once or twice will put it into constantly on mode (manual)or back to auto and utilising the PIR. each model has its own quirks and functions mind. also the switch whilst not absolutely required also allows a means of isolation if done properly.

You would have thought they'd have a switch to flick on and off to engage an override. Not on each PIR but an actual light switch
