Hi, behind my TV I have just 1 single socket on the wall. I was thinking of adding a double or 2 there and I don't think the end of the ring would stretch into a second box next to it. Would I have to add in a fused connection unit in there for the 2 ends of the ring to go into, then link the sockets in radial from the FCU.

Thanks

you can add 1 double on an unfused spur. much easier to plug in a 4 or 6way extn. lead.

So I should just swap the single for a double then add the second double as a spur from that? The sockets/backboxes/FCU were already bought.

if the single existing socket is part of the ring, yes. swap for a double, and spur off to another double. no need for FCU.simmples

My solution rented house FCU where old fire was fitted dual box 2 fcus with 4 way extensions mounted under tv shelving I hate going to my M8s where he has 4 4 gangs daisy chained every outlet used New house is getting MK multi gang multimedia thingy as phone/sky will be new might as well make a job of it and have it all nice n prity
