Extend ring for boiler and outside socket

DIYer question
I need to add an FCU to the kitchen ring for a boiler and also an outdoor socket.
I don’t want to extend the ring to the outside socket in case of water getting in.
Can I put the FCU for the boiler on the ring and does a 3amp fuse in that have any effect on the overall ring? Does the ring current still
Flow through an FCU even if switched off?

For the outside socket (which will need to be located beside the boiler FCU), what’s the easiest way to safely get a spur for that socket?

TL;DR
Best way to extend kitchen ring to include boiler spur and outside socket
Put it all on the ring final, if water gets into the external socket then it is not suitable or incorrectly installed.

Outside socket… ok.
But you say the fcu for boiler is beside the outside socket… is the boiler outside too?

FCU’s have an IN and an OUT… the OUT is protected by the fuse. The fuse does nothing to the existing ring.

One thing to keep in mind is not have “a spur from a spur”….. so if you branch off the ring to the socket, you can’t just then extend it to the fcu.

I know some might argue that, realistically, a socket and the boiler wouldn’t overload the cable…. But regs is regs.

Actually…. What’s the outside socket going to be used for? A hot tub, or an electric car granny charger will need more thought than just a lawnmower, for example.
