I have been asked by a customer to add a meter to an adjoining flat on her premises in order to see what electric the flat consumes. The house and flat both have ON and OFF peak boards fed from the same supply and connected to one electronic dual rate KWH meter. Ive looked for a dual rate KWH meter to fit within the flat but they all seem to have Radio signal switching, and i dont think its a good idea to have two on the same supply. The other option would be to fit two single rate KWH meters, one on the ON peak and one on the OFF peak supply within the flat but ive ruled that out on the fact it will lose its supply during the day ! Is this a job for the local supply authority ? Any ideas ?
