just a quick one why do we use the adiabatic calculation for your main earth to your consumer when for me by the time youve done the calculation you could of thrown a 16mm earth in as its right next to your consumer
 
Because not everyone does just domestic. Try doing that in a 50,000sq ft manufacturing plant.
 
also...... you might have a 16mm main earthing conductor, but the main bonding conductor/s size is reckoned to be 1/2 of trhe minimum required for the main, so if the adiabatic says 10mm is OK for the main, 6mm is ok for the bonding ( unless it's TNC-S)
