Help Needed

I was made redundant recently and now want a change, I have a family member that fits kitchens and bathrooms. he has been having trouble with his guy and said to get qualified and he would give me the job of installing the electrics.
I have worked with him before and have a basic knowledge of this, Am i right in saying i would need to complete a Part P and the 17th edition to carry out this work?

Any help would be great!

What is your basic knowledge then? years of onsite experience as a mate ?

Sorry to be blunt, but thread's like this annoy me. Yes, as tel says you need a minimum of 17th...and the fact that my deceased goldfish could pass this course with no revision is a joke. It shouldn't be so easy to get into the trade, but you wont listen to anyone on here and i know that you'll end up doing what you want anyway.

All i can say is crack on, but if you install anything dangerous...get a decent lawyer.

All Dan wants is more and more, so the hits go up and the advertisers are happy.

Maybe a mass boycot should be considered?

I've got a bad feeling running through my bones Mike lol..

The Electrical Trainee / Part-P course threads were bad - and i didn't think it could get much worse...

But, then we had that thread earlier today about hanging a table lamp upside down from the ceiling haha...i dread to think what it'll be like on here come the end of the year, i swear EF has taken my life-expectancy down by at least a decade lol.
