hey clever people.. i need some advice so please spare me some time!!

had an underfloor heating system fitted and was working fine for a couple of weeks... now the rcd kept tripping after it was left on for a while... i changed the 5 amp fuse for a 13amp and it works fine except very occasionaly... can someone please explain why this may be happening???

... is the floor damaged??

... is the thermostat damaged??

please please any advice will help hugely

I think its time to get the tester out. Once you have a tester ask the person you got it from to help you do the usual insulation resistance and coil resistance tests.
I think moisture is the problem so make sure all connections are moisture free. The coil might be damaged and some how moisture is getting past the floor tiles and causing the rcd to trip.
??
Cheers
