Hi guys, I'm new to this site and am after as much advice as possible. I am currently studying at OLCI to be a domestic and PV installer. Plan to be qualified June/July (if I can book my exams and practicals in time). But having the qualifications is not having experience and I would like your advice on how I should go about gaining some, where to leave posts, should I call, email or visit? For any who want to know I am doing City & Guilds 2330 level 2&3, 2382-10/20 level 3, 2391 level 3, 2392 level 2, 2377 level 3, EAL level 2, Part P, and PV. Any advice will be very welcome, A job offer would be amazing.
Thanx all.

This is why these short courses don't work. You need experience to be an electrician and the course you are doing was (supposedly) designed for electricians mates who hade been working in the industry for a long time without any qualifications. Not for people with zero experience. Good luck to you anyhow. Its tough out there for everyone at the moment includiung every employed electrician!!

Thanx guys, noted about the short course. But thats the route I chose so I guess I must make the best of what I got. Also failed to mention the obligatory 17th Edition as part of my course.
