Can anyone advise me which course would be better. I have to do my 17th edition and the choice seems to be between a home computer course or the three day intensive course at a centre. I am not the most academic person, and although I need to get qualified quickly so that I can get my gold card. I don't know which would be better to do. Thanks in advance.

If you're "not the most academic person" I'd go for the college one where there's someone to answer your questions there and then, and if necessary draw pictures on the blackboard (or whiteboard), rather than having to do it all yourself from a computer.
Personally I'd go for the college one anyway, because I'm not the most motivated person so I'd probably never get around to doing the studying.

The 17th exam is basically just looking stuff up in a book so if you're conversant with the regs you might be able to do it without either, but it depends how confident you feel.
