Advice please: Solarworld or Phono Solar or REC panels

Hi

Can anyone advise which of these panels are best?:

Solarworld 250w mono
Phono Solar 250w mono
REC 250w poly

South facing roof with no shade. 16 panels to be put up.

Define best?
Installation methods and quality, system design and inverter choice are more significant than the panel specification.

I guess I mean most reliable and better made so less likely to go wrong or lose efficiency over 25 years or so.

I like Solarworld panels, and I like Phono Solar too, and REC....but which one's best? There's only one way to find out......fight!!!

Joking aside, Worcester is spot on, there's a lot more to it. Saying that, either of those 3 brands would be an excellent choice, there's a lot worse out there....

I'll go with solarworld on that, as I'm aware that at least on the mono panels they're pretty much all between 255-260Wp these days in reality, and great build quality.

I'd go for the phono all black. They look great and I can't see the benefit in paying more for solar world

Difficult to say which is best. In performance, REC looks best on paper. But there's not a lot in it.

To be honest, if it were my own house then I'd go for REC, followed by Solarworld, followed by Phono. But I'd be happy with any of them.

Much more important to find a company which knows how to install them properly. They're rarer than they should be.

Customers tend to think the panels are the most important part. I find the 'hard sell' companies really play on this. There is a large pool of MCS accredited solar panels that are similar and all work well provided the system is designed and installed correctly.

They are all good. As SolarCity says, focus more on the company which is going to install them - do they know what they are talking about or do they have a salesman trying to force you to sign on the dotted line?
