After having an electrical rewire - certificates?

Hi,

After having a partial electrical rewire of a domestic property and existing electrical installation tested which certificates should I receive from the electrician and should I receive something from the council, also are they uploaded somewhere so they can be downloaded in the future?

Neighbour has just received her building cert for a garage conversion that was completed two years ago...

The Domestic Electrical Certificate I was given last week is 6 pages, there is no mention of Part P and nothing has arrived in the post.

They normally come in the post, so a week is no great shakes.

Is there mention of a Scheme on your cert?

The 6 pages you've received... Are they hand written? Could be an indication that he has duped it and sent you a copy but not yet filed it with niceic or equiv. Or could also mean he printed a load of certs off the internet and hands them out without filing them. Who knows...

Replacement certificate should be easy to re send if digial, litrelly resave as PDF and email. And with Part P notifocation i always email them myself. Weather it be to the client or to myself so i can print it and hand it over myself.

Got lost in the post. But does make you wonder why they didn't think to chase it up.

Sod that. I paid my scheme £500+ a year. Thats their baby.

how do you email your clients with the compliance cert?

With Stroma, I can send the compliance certificate to myself by email, then download it and send it as an attachment, with the EIC and invoice ..... to the customer

When doing online digital notification on NIC online, just hit the email option and put either their or your own email in.

I do prefer sending it to myself and forwarding on so i have a copy for when they lose it.
