Hi Guys

After you thoughts on this tap positioning/ vs electrics please ?
(not the isolators/ mini DB being in a cupboard)

Did a kitchen refurb here a little while ago and have come back to this little surprise !
Tap now in adjacent part of cupboard, is sectioned off though.
(For their outside hose as plumber didn't want to drill through thick old cob wall.)

If so what would you code it on an EICR

No different to having a washing machine or dishwasher valve which may or may not have a hose on it.
Brass / chrome bib taps like this one were used before the modern washine machine / service valves were produced.

The tap will need supporting by the wall plate bracket otherwise it'll come loose at the service valve with use.

Don't see anything wrong with it at all except for the fact that their 'outside' tap is in a kitchen.

Some of those switches aren't 450mm - 1200mm from the floor.
Main comment about the tap, is why?

why should they be 450 - 1200. they are not socket outlets.

Even if inside cupboards? I thought there was leeway for existing installs, ie if you're adding a new socket and the existing sockets are at 300mm you're allowed to match them?

beg to differ. applies to light switches and others in common use. these are used more for isolation then functional switching.

This is where professional judgement comes into play, and although I happily place things like isolators for bathroom fans and the like level with the top of doors, I don't classify some of these switches as just isolators, especially the hob switch.
They're not just extremely low, they're at the back of a cupboard, which will inevitably be filled with junk.

sometimes you need to allow for aesthestics. my better half would hate these to be on show above a worktop.
