56 and served 4 year apprenticeship with,the then,British coal.
Worked underground for 15 year learning the ropes.
No toilets/no canteen/no fresh water/no light.....no womans drawers to look through......cough ( not that any of you domestic guys would do that of course!).

Started 2006 now I'm 31, done full modern apprenticeship 2391 and AM2 in 2 years on the dot mainly commercial/ industrial, then approved 2 yrs later, now had my own business for last year, best move I bet made love every day!
 
started when 16 now 39 played in the mud for a while started back properly 2007,started up on my own about a month. apprenticeship what is one of them? i have worked on a few ships but never seen one of those?
 
44. Trained 18-21, worked full time spark 21 - 33, then retrained as teacher, not done elec. since, considered coming back to it earlier this year but after asking on here and chatting to 3 local sparks I know well decided not to.
 
Im 28, started taking qualifications at 17, apprentice trained, mix of commercial and domestic experience, moved off the tools a couple of years ago and into project & contract management. Still in the electrical industry, now heading up a team looking after a couple of national contracts on behalf a global technology and energy firm.
