Hi There

I finally managed to connect up my eurosec cp8l control panel correctly.
I have defaulted back to the factory settings and the display on the key pad shows

21 Dec 20:13
<<<UNSET>>>

Should the system now be ready to use under the defaut mode?
This seems to be as far as i can get.
I cant see how to change the user code etc

How did you manage to default it without the installation manual?
Is the engineer code defaulted too?
If it started with a 9, you cannot default it.
You need the manual to re-program it. Is it the LED keypad?
If so, I find them the hardest domestic alarms to program, so much so, that if I get called to fix one, I will not try to change the user code, as they are so unintuitive.

Hi there

to be honest ive never fitted alarms, im an electrician therefore though i would give it a go. i have the installation instructions but hve no idea how to apply the programming, i thought i could use the default settings and change the user code, also its an 8 zone panel and i only need 2 zones therefore i linked out the remaining zones to simulate a continually closed circuit

panel should work as you have it. i think zone 1 is enrty/exit, zone 2 access. as it's the lcd keypad, programming is a doddle. some of these panels require the user code to start exit tone, then you enter the engineer code twice. if you're stuck, pm me .

Hey thanks for the help,

pretty unsure how to proceed from here i mean the system appears good to go other than the key pad saying UNSET

do i have to do anything else? Basically what do i hve to do to get the system up and running, and change the user code?

enter the user code 5678, i believe. keypad will then ask if you want to set. press "yes" and you should get the exit tone. this will end after 30 seconds, and system is now set. provided that the exit door is programmed as entry/exit, then this should start the entry tone when opened.
