what is the cable type mentioned with a white core? is it not acceptable tom use three core 1.5mm between the detectors?

Also does anyone know what is required in a domestic property im assuming heat detector in kitchen smokey in hall downstairs and hall upstairs? books are on the van? and never done a domestic fire alarm circuit before...

The white is on the sensor, 3 core is fine.

Minimum requirement in a small domestic is two smokes one up, one down, However there are a lot more regulations / requirements. I would at least read the guide to the building regs that has the basics.
