Fitted some sockets on a wall yesterday but had an utter nightmare with normal T&E clips and trying to get them to hold in the wall. Both the mortar and bricks were too crumbly to hold the nail and I ended up using loads of clips, which didn't look good at all but the customer was happy with the reason.

So what are the other options? I have seen the P clips similar to the ones used for mounting FP/ MICC cables, but think they are very expensive (pack of 100 being around £60 via britclips) and they are suited to round cable.

Any other options?

Thanks :)

you can get rawplugs suitable for clip nails. otherwise, use mnini trunking or pvc tube

Go to Ikea customer services, in there you will find parts bins where you can help yourself to bits and bobs which are missing from your over complicated self assembly bedside table. In amongst you will find a bin full of wooden pegs about 15mm long and 4 mm diameter, get a large portion, drill the wall, bung these in and nail whatever your heart desires into them:D Oh and their breakfast is cheap as chips and good quality 9 items for about £3:cool: They also have a playpen and the telly on showing cbeebies, so take the apprentice it will keep him amused for hours.

Cheers..........Howard
