Aluminium cables was used alot during the early 70's due to the cost of copper going through the roof
I remember selling this late 60’s early 70’s when I was working for an electrical wholesaler. It was introduced as an alternative to copper cable due to the soaring cost of copper. However, I don’t remember it being on the market long, possibly due to copper prices getting back to normal and stabilising.
