Thanks to all the replys guys, its been very helpful,

i did get a pay rise in the end but it was onl up to £8 per hour.. i do feel quite narked though as i've learnt that people who have less qualifications than me and are, well, far from decent labour in my eyes are still on more money than me.

I also learnt that i only had a pay rise due to the fact i was under the minimum wage for my age and not for passing my exams. I've been on the job centre plus site and there are quite a few jobs going in my area at the min so i might keep my eye on it a while, pass m 17th end of the month and maybe see about jumping ship!!

If there's work in your area - leave. If there's not - look for it. Ask the boss for a rise. But ultimatly if you're happy there money means Jack......

jobs in my area is shocking your lucky to be on more than 9 ph thats with 2391 17th edition cscs and ipaf

ive also seen 1 job advertised wanting the above quals plus a hnd advertised at 8.50 ph working nights

times are crap

im earning about 200 a week but I work for me dad and i know times are tough as the last few months hes earnt nowt the only 1s who are earning is me and the taxman thats the only reason im not kicking up a fuss at the moment will be getting a rise in august if work picks up over the next few months if i dont get my rise im leaving and going on the dole as were just about keeping the bailifs at arms length

Do you go out quoting in your job, start nicking work off him, £8ph is £320 a week on top, you could do that in a day and a bit on your own. That still leaves Tuesday afternoon, wednesday, thursday and friday to earn even more and thats without the weekends or callouts etc. Times are hard at the moment but he is seriously taking the pee out of you. Its crap like this that breeds the benefit culture, as you are putting up with being underpaid and overworked you obviously have something about yourself and would no doubt fare well on your own. The work is out there but you need to dig deep, be cheeky, and be competitive to get it.

get into the proper world phone the agencies take a job for the odd week or so(unless you have HP sorry i mean mortgage!!) live out of a suitcase get into shopfitting lots of hours if you can handle IT 1,000-1500 pw its out there if you want IT blow the **** out if you havent got the bottle to do this get a packing job they PAY MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
