Hi all,
I just wanted to get advice and opinions on wether its worth me asking for a wage increase. ive been working for a company for the last 14 months on ÂŁ250 a week and before that i was doing fire alarm installations for 6 months and working on new builds for 4 months doing mostly second fixing and street lighting.
The work that i have been doing for the company that i currently work for includes
over 150 fuse board changes ( having to resolve all manner of problems associated with a board change) this involves me being left on site by myself to carry out the work.
I have doing over 200 PIR test (to as best a standard i have been trained to which was intensive for over a year and have done over 150 of these by myself to be signed off)
I have done numerous remedials and partial rewires unaided. but have done only about 20 rewires aided so i would see it as a weak point not to say i couldnt do a rewire by myself i just havent. I also know tht there is so much more to learn in general so it is only one of many weak points.
Most of the work has been domestic but i have done quite a few commercial.
My fault finding is not to bad in terms of taking a logical approach to the situation but as you know things can be a tad more complicated then being logical
I currently have 23302/3 and 17th edition and will be doing my 2391 in march (last chance saloon lol)
The wage didnt bother me in the early day as i trade money markets , not making big money but enough to supplement my wage but as time has gone on i feel i may have grounds to ak for a wage rise.
i would appreciate any advice or opinions given many thanks
Cheers!!
