Have I been missing something? I have just had a reply to squire which says I'm the best price etc... However the other electrician has quoted for 4 sockets per room to comply with part p... Maybe I've been doing all my rewires wrong...? Or is this other electrician just trying to pull a fast one to push his price up..?
Thanks...

OUCH!!! there's 2 extension leads behind our bedroom TV. 1950's house had 1 socket (single) per bedroom. now all 4 bedrooms have 2 doubles in each. still not enough, but suggest chasing walls to 'er indoors, and it's sleep in the garage for a week. :drummer:

Only a week?.....you lucky, lucky b......!

Doing a CU change in a 1960's house today, 1 socket per bedroom, loads of extensions every where.

3/4 per bedroom is about right.

I'm rewiring a house for us at the moment and we have 4 x doubles in the smallest bedroom and 5 in the bigger rooms. 2 x 2g behind the TV!

That said as for "socket numbers to comply with Part P" - utter tosh

Like I said 3 twins in beds is normally enough and always at least 2 behind tv.. Sky box, tv, DVD, games console at least.
