My son, also a spark, was asked by one of the girls in the office to check her electric shower - had been working intermittently.

He turns up at the flat, checks the circuit breaker (all ok), checks the pull cord switch (again ok) and turns his attention to the shower unit itself.

He takes out the cover screws, starts to take the cover off, and.....:dead:

a bleedin' snake hisses and strikes out!!!!!!!!! He falls into the bath whilst trying to make a getaway. The couple don't have snakes as pets, and this one is bloomin angry. Cuting a londg story short, the SSPCA who came the following day advisd that it was corn snake, probably someones pet and it had some injury from bein in the shower. Apparantly, these things can live to 25 years and grow to between 3-5 ft long!

The photo is not that clear (did not like getting it's photo taken, but its the brown shape at the top of the shower. He will now forever be known as Hissin' Sid. [ElectriciansForums.net] And I thought i'd heard/seen it all!!!!!

Wow! Didn't see that coming as the punchline. When the story started as 'the girl in the office asked my son to look at the shower' my smutty mind thought, Oh yeah?... Blimin hell I bet he shat himself - your son, not the snake!

LOL do all male minds work the same, i bet like me we all thought the story was gonna be along the lines of......took the cover off.......as she started to take her covers off!!lol.

Thirty odd years ago my old fella was under the floor wiring in an old detached house extremely cramped with very little room armed with cable, hammer, clips and torch. Getting towards the point for pushing the cable through to above. pitch black, he shined his torch and s*** himself- two bright eyes staring staight at him- a bloody snake! No where to move and daren't shout. 'Him or me, just one chance' smacks it with the hammer................................................
BOING... rubber un.

And there was me expecting polo1 to say something along the lines of "took the cover off and found it had been wired in with telephone cable"

Bloody hell, I can't bear snakes... I'm starting to reconsider my aspiration to be a sparks...!
