this time some innocents were very lucky to be alive. my cousin lives in the street next to the houses and he was lets just say least impressed when he got woken up.

the trouble is its the innocents now that are starting to get caught up in it. a street this time last year over burnley way nearly went up in flames after some plank nicked a 20 quid piece of copper. how long will it be before some innocent child touches the end of a live cable? they need to sentence these idiots hard and fast to make a prime example of them for the rest before some innocent gets killed or badly injured. give them 10 years for stealing copper and make them serve it, it won`t stop it all but it may just put a few off doing it. mind you if they plead guilty good old Ken Clarke will let em out the same day

There have been a couple of big thefts from yards recently BT in aberden lost £35k of cable police said "there must have been a vehicle involved" No **** Sherlock

one of other guys in my firm was sent to turn power on to a big shed which was part of a disused factory complex on arrival he walked across main floor of factory to panel he was met with an empty panel right back to only the DNO incomer even conduit was empty on lighting they had stripped EVERYTHING stripped all the armours ect n left neat piles on the floor PC Plod " theres not a lot we can do loks like they are long gone" FFS

went to job a couple of years ago to replace stolen 10mm. There were some pikeys squatting in a house across the road and one of them actually came up and told us hed be back for that when wed gone and were we doing any more houses in the area.
Police not interested and the customer had given up complaining.

the only human rights that concern me are the rights of the victims. especially in these instances. if your going to play lets steal some live cable you know what your playing with, the ones that don`t know are the poor sods walking past it or getting their houses blown to bits. arson can carry a life sentance even if no one os killed so maybe we should be threatening such sentences instead of some community pay back or such rubbish.
