another loop in out question

room one has 4 down lights and 1 switch
room two has 2 down lights and 1 switch
consumer unit has no spare ways

3 options on how to wire

option 1 : loop in and out from switch (3 cables at switch)

feed from mcb >>> light switch room 1 >>> room 1 lights
>>> light switch room 1 >>> light switch room 2

option 2 : loop in from 1st light (requires two joint box's at 1st lights )

feed from mcb >>> 1st light room 1 >>> 1st light room 2
>>> 1st light room 1 >>> light switch room 1
>>> 1st light room 1 >>> rest of lights room 1

option 3 : two feeds from the same mcb to each room

feed from mcb >>> light switch 1 >>> room 1 lights

feed from mcb >>> light switch 2 >>> room 2 lights

Q1)which way would you wire it????
Q2)would option 3 be a spur from a spur or bad practise?? i'm thinking it would be ok as neither would be able to pull more then 6 amps

every downlight should have a joint box, so as to use H/R flex to the fitting. wago or screw JB.

Option 3? You can have 2 circuits on one mcb but the 2nd circuit is classed as a spur and can only used to feed one fitting, so may not be an option for you.
With a final circuit yes, but lighting circuits are generally radials so it's basically extending it twice. The existing cable should be able to take whatever the protective device will let through it.

changing the subject slightly

am i right in saying
spuring from a spur is not a good idea on a ring because the single cable could potentially pull 32amps which is too much for that single cable.

so why cant you spur from a spur on a radial? as long as you stay to the maximum floor area the cable will only be able to pull say 16amps
