Hi working on a Farm/Stable..
Doing a PIR on the holiday let/Workers Digs..
Went to the Intake as iv got about 4+ boards to test.
Phoned the DNO they said hes got polyphase but said they didnt think it was PME.
The Supply comes from the pole and is clipped direct to his house and ends up in this switch room..
The spiders nest of cables are swa running off to feed other parts of the farm..

could you not have brushed the cobwebs off first before posting? Doesnt look to be an issue as far as identification of conductors is concerned but i dont like the unclipped earths and the general presentation of things here....the cropped cable in 1 and 5 needs testing to ensure there isn`t a voltage present...........

What an absolute mess, did notice in the bottom left habd corner some of the earth cables chucked into chock blocks, that installation probably started out its life being installed by a proper sparks and down the years every man and his sheepdog has added on,i expect you will find some interesting things on that one,i couldnt make out the earthing arrangement.

By measurment or inquirey it says on my sheet, I tryed both...
Oh and the cable there isnt a voltage there, That s 1 of about 20 iv seen so far!
The 6 radials run in 2.5mm and on a 32Amp MCB are some of the other sins iv found!
It all tests a dream tho, 90% of IR tests are >500..
Zdb's are low.. But he wont let me turn the power of to do a Ze in the box.. Iv rung the DNO and they cant tell me what it is..
So i thought id ask you kind gents :D
I know all the parallel paths are giving me low readings...

Those cut out fuses, are industrial, never seen them used in a domestic situation. The black finger screws pull the fuses into the base and maintains a solid contact. They can be a real bugger to pull out, to replace the BS 88 cartridge fuse....

Just a little tap with the handle of a screwdriver on the head of the loosened screw and they come out easy. Above a 100A service head they’re still used up to 630A.

The pictures iv shown you is what i get to look at mate...
I really think its TNCS and was after some 1 backing it up on here..
As for turning the power off,his misses would kick royally off if holyoaks was disturbed!!
Its a busy place mate,he doesnt care if we ve got regs he wants things sorted..
Id be the same if i was cooking tea and some 1 wanted to turn the gas off!!

To be fair it didnt sound like he got out the aircon'd call centre that often, He said it wont be PME up there..
Iv got 2 phases and a earth from the netural,, Iv asked Noel to open that box, but the banker is on the loo :( No offers...
