Any British Gas Sparks here

Any lads in here from British Gas? A friend of mine is a gas engineer there and suggest it to me as an Option. Just thought I’d see if anyone here had any input.

Aren’t most BG sparks free lancers...?

my mate is a gas fitter and does free lance work for BG , he ain’t too bad a bit rough but not badgers rough

Just looking at options at the minute. Things to get me local work and stability. Not really interested in doing my own work. I like to clock off so to speak and forget about it.

localheroes is a public facing portal for joe bloggs to get a tradesman or woman in and BG take a cut on the fees. joe public thinks it is all kosher as its the British Gas brand but could be any tom dick or harry turning up.
Localheroes takes 20% but you can charge £45 an hour, gave it a go a year or so back and did get some good jobs through it but had to charge more to offset the fees.... still on the system but dont use it anymore unless it is literally on the door step and a quick call out change a socket, change a switch sort of job.
