One of the drive instructors was doing the Deep Dive Speciality course for his missus at Stoney Cove. She was fine all the way down to about 36 meters when she decided that it was nice and peaceful and a good time to curl up and go to sleep. He took her up a few meters and she was fine again. Im saving up for my Deep Dive Speciality at the mo, but every time I have the money it ends up getting spend on other things.

They put a minibus on down to the water for free. Just a little ride down a steep hill. Just goes up and down whenever people request to go. The max depth there is 84m...scary!!

and HT I'm still waiting on my feedback from my fault answer :D

now that is deep. Not been deeper than 32 meters and dont intend to ever go deeper than 40 or 50...

Most of the seas wildlife is no deeper than 10m anyway so there isn't need to be going much deeper than that unless wreck/cave diving. Although people do :)

Always fancied diving at Scapa Flow to see the wrecks there (apparently most of the wrecks are at 30 to 50 meters), but I cant justify spending that much money getting up there and diving, when I can spend it on the kids. All I need to do is win the lottery and I will be sorted..

I can't wait for Iceland !!! Google 'Silfra Diving, Iceland'. 100m+ vis

That looks great... Hope you have some nice thick gloves & hood. 2-4°C is a bit cold.

Im a 7mm all rounder :p im a baby when it comes to the cold. The group who has been before said its fine for an hour at a time with 7mm all round before it starts to get a bit nippy. Its a bit harsh on the face too apparently.

I love diving, took it up a few years ago and can't get enough of it. I can highly recommend Ibiza if you like wreck diving, it's got the Don Pedro the biggest wreck I've dived and loads of other awesome sites. Can recommend sites round there as I spent 4 months working as a divemaster out there :) As for the Iceland thing, I'd love to dive there you lucky git.

oooh you are a big boy... I only have 4mm. Size does matter.
Also agree with Caboose and you are a luck git.

My friend Emma Farrell teaches free diving, I'm a trimix diver but not dived in a year. Been diving about 17 years now. Do my own blending too. Not ice dived but dived some 70-80 meter deep wrecks in the channel
