• If you are seeking employment in the electrical industry, then you are in the correct forum to post a thread about what you are looking for. Please avoid putting contact details in the actual post. Use the forum messenger instead.

As well as posting a thread in the forum you're in, you can also search Electrician Jobs posted by others HERE. If you run an established electrical company, you can post your business details to our directory of electricians too.
This person requires some work. They've hopefully explained their skills and qualifications and what area they're in. Otherwise, what's the bloody point?
Hi all,

I'm new to the site and am just about to start my training to become an electrician. Problem i have is I'm currently a supervisor in a factory and need to work on a site doing electrics to pass my NVQ. Is there anyone that maybe able to help me out with a job or maybe point me in the direction of someone who could. Im a hard worker (not shy of overtime), very good with power and hand tools. I've spent the last 3 year doing my own home up, redone all the plumbing minus the boiler. Built a retaining wall in rear garden and done some pointing on the house brickwork. Fitted outside bricklights, moved sockets and light fixtures. Just fitted a new kitchen and custom fit all led strips throughout. Also fully hardwired a network in my home when I was renovating. Also fitted CCTV front and back, hardwired.

So I'm 35 and worked in a factory for 16 years and discovered my passion for the trade when renovating my home, only wish I noticed earlier. So trying to make the change now. If anyone has done the career change please feel free to give me any hints because I cannot find much online. Although I am working my way through this site at the moment.

Thanks Anth

Hi - we have a week's work initially In Newcastle on Tyne Mon Tues 31st Jan/1st Feb then the rest of the week in Hartlepool. The work is commercial & varied so would be great for your portfolio. We are often 'up north' so there could be other work too. Accommodation is available & transport to site.

Hi Anth,

We are based in Durham and have a number of projects ongoing at the moment. What kind of availability do you have during the week? Do you have ECS/CSCS card and transport?
