Thanks stummish ! Thought that's what you were going to say. My gut instinct and from bits of research I've carried out confirm your points. I was going to try a Vera hub/gateway at home too but read recently (or interpreted) that some z-wave devices only work to their full potential on certain gateways ?
Fibaro definitely look like are ahead in the game. Thanks

Don't get me wrong. As an entry level vera plus is great. It will teach you more about the system as you need to work a little harder to get the results you want, which gives you a deeper understanding. All devices work with vera iirc, and theres no bonus for using Fibaro device with a fibaro controler.

But for looking good to show customers etc fibaro wins out.
