Thanks. A bit before my time I thinkExtension speaker sockets. Sold by RS (then Radiospares). They are polarised by having one pin larger than the other. The matching plug was flat with a flex outlet at the back and pins that screwed down onto two washers to clamp the conductors. Two being together here suggests this was the source end, there might be identical sockets at the other end of those cables where the speakers were.
The appear to be low voltage sockets or for connecting Loudspeakers.View attachment 62848

Not so much like 15A but somewhere between 2A and 5A in overall size. The two pins are different sizes to provide polarisation, neither the plug nor socket are touchproof.the sockets look like the 15 amp two pin sockets
