Anybody recognise this glanding product

Following on from my earlier thread regarding a solution for a grp building where cables cam go through the wall without making off, i went to site and found an existing GRP cabin that has this plate arrangement with blue seals, anyone recognise the product to give me an idea of a line to pursue.

Made by ROXTEC. We use them for feeding rf feeders, antennaea etc through walls. A hole is made in the wall, given a liner, then filled with split square section rubber blocks which have a peelable concentric core. You peel the inner layers away until the cable fits snugly then pack them all into the hole in the wall. Made airtight by a compression block

It is on a Petro-chemical site, some of the site rules are: No petrol engines, no mobiles, fork lift trucks have trailing copper braids to ground etc, etc. Hence the grp cabin and some need for an acceptable method of glanding which the Roxtec product appears to do quite well.

If my memory is correct... thats looks like Morgan Marine building. If fixing to the outer wall, remember to use 18mm or smaller fixings! haha

These sort of arrangements are and have been used on commercial buildings projects etc for years, to pass through walls etc. Be it from exterior to interior or passing cable sets through fire walls or riser service ducts between floors!!

Depends what type of packing is used in the frame. ...Different packing materials and grades for different applications.

They may extensively use these cable transits in hazardous areas and the like, but they are by no means mostly used in such areas. As i say they are used throughout the industry where multiple cable sealing is required passing through walls and floors etc..

Whys that then?? That's what these adaptable cable transits have been specifically made for, to enable any size of cable (within product design parameters) to be accommodated....
