[h=1]Merchants Introduction[/h][ElectriciansForums.net] Anyone Else Get This? Ultimate Unethical Sell IMHO!
The Pay Me Next Cashback Voucher is a highly effective sales promotional tool that offers your customers the opportunity of receiving 100% of the purchase price paid for goods or services - with little or no cost impact to your bottom line.
To ensure absolute security for all participants, funds set aside for payment to qualifying voucher holders are administered by The Charter Trust and are held in a clients bank account covered by professional indemnity insurance.
The Pay Me Next Cashback promotion is a financial memory test and challenge for consumers which relies on them remembering to register their vouchers online every month until they are individually selected by our random voucher code selector and paid. If a consumer does not bother or remember to register they do not benefit from the promotion. National Lotteries are similar in this regard - if you don’t claim your win, you won’t win!!!
The sales message used by a Pay Me Next Cashback Merchant can be extremely powerful:
‘... Receive 100% of your Cashback when you purchase from us - Just Ask How ...’
Imagine the effect this kind of sales message will have on your customers and, more importantly, on your competitors’ customers.
If your potential customers saw that they could receive 100% of their money back on their purchases, would that increase your sales?
Of course it would!

I don't why I was so shocked when I saw this - I knew it was a scam but just didn't know how it worked. Now we know .....

yep - scammers.

I've emailed REAL about it, and just had a reply passing the buck because they're not real members. I've replied pointing out that they've just targeted probably every REAL member in the country, and asking them to be proactive about this instead of waiting for 6 months for the inevitable complaints to start rolling in.

Gavin just been on your site mate your prices are sharp for panasonic !!!

I just done a round robin of the big boys there average system prices are around 7500-8k
for the cheap stuff.

I really under cut myself last quarter not doing.

it's all a bit academic anyway as we barely get any panasonic now whatever price we offer it at, but the panel prices have come down a bit. I might have to double check them though as I did work them up quite late one night, and I had been offering them cheap to clear stock from the warehouse, but we've got rid of that now.

Ironically, I'd checked out your prices before reviewing mine, and was wondering how you were getting yours so low, particularly was it £5750 for the cheap end 4kW option? Are you now pushing this price up a bit or something? I think I'd decided not to compete with you directly on that price anyway, as it's too low imo, though we're offering a basic 4kW system for £5995, which is still pushing it a bit.

I also see you've taken your prices off the website, which I really think is a mistake fwiw. There was a solar power portal article a few days ago basically saying that most people don't know what a solar PV system costs these days. The only way we as an industry can counter this, and counter the impression that it's not worth it any more after the FIT cuts is to be publishing at least example prices online so people can easily see the price drops for themselves IMO. Although I know we're in the minority in publishing our pricing online, we've also definitely won customers through this open pricing policy as well, as they've directly told me so.

Gavin Yes I had low prices at 5750 for jetion and steca I decided to knock it on the head now.

The problem with putting prices on websites is as follows ok you can show your price but what happens think of it from a custoemrs view.

I have had three quotes I go to leeds solar site see the prices of £XXXX then I go back to the three companies I had quotes for then I say ''leeds solar are doing XXXX system for £XXXXX'' oh well we will do it £100 cheaper t!!

so ok good prices on both our sites problem is we will never see the people viewing them or speak to them!!!
these people have had three quotes they cant be arsed talkinf t somebody else.

I am brain storming tonight I thinking of ways to get the person viewing the site to fill out the call back box or call me .
not to see my prices and do one.

showing prices used to work when people where selling 4kwp at 15k and we where selling at 12k

now its harder people dont have a clue what they want !!!

any ideas are truley welcome !

i know your cluded up gavin with most stuff I looked at the big boys they are selling the jetions and steca types much more than us.
I even rang a few to get ball parks sly I know but it has to be done try it ...dont call me tho lol

I had quite a long chat with my accountant yesterday about prices and for me to drop to where others in our area are in price would require me to install 50% more for the same profit. Seems mad to do that when I could spend the time more productively looking at add ons that work and working out a proper marketing plan ready for Feb.

It's all about nerve and for now I'm holding mine and keeping my prices the same as they were at the beginning of August. Although the cash isn't coming in I'm starting to get on top of our businesses and beginning to feel more in control - something I haven't felt for the last 2 years!

Fwiw - I don't have prices on our website - it's fodder for our competition and doesn't allow me much discretion when I see the customer. Most of our work over the last 2 years has come from face to face conversations not from the Internet.

Prices are continuing to fall. For example, Segen have knocked over a fiver off their Hyundai 250s in the past week. You could pass on most of this to customers and maintain same profit margin as before?

Yea I always pass on the drop in price for materials but to be honest there doesn't seem to be much further to go. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Genreally MEP the best way to funnel visitor flow is to offer something free in return, such as "download the latest guide to the worlds best performing panels" by filling in your contact form, name and email thats all, make it easy, less they type more chance you got, then once you got the email add them to your marketing list.

get me, i dont do any of this coz i aint got the time, but it works.

Here's the latest scam - with logos on from Ploughcroft Eon and Npower

Did you know, the income you can earn from solar panels is set to reduce in November. Currently you can earn 16p/kWh which equates to a potential earning of £690 per year tax free. This is likely to reduce down to 11p/kWh later this year. Delaying your installation until after November will cost you thousands of pounds as the feed-in tariff's lifetime will be cut further.

Followed by a link which has Ploughcroft Eon and Npower logos on it Search 4 Solar I've emailed it to REAL and asked where the 11p comes from - Ploughcroft at least will be REAL registered I wonder if they even know their logo is on an advert with such misleading info.

even better they then sell the mis informed lead to some unsuspecting installer who coughs up 35 notes.

these lead generating firms really need policing.

Both our REAL and MCS audits asked if we bought leads ... (we don't) so they are aware of the problems, though not sure what 'teeth' they've got when as an installer, you are really only getting a name, tel # and address...
