Anyone else use Haeger CU's...?

Just curious if anyone else uses Haeger CU's for domestic..?

Been having probs getting my usual MK, so have gone for a couple of Haegers this week, ended up being £10/£15 more than mk inc with vat and mcbs. Easily paid for itself with the time I saved.

Only really used Haeger on bigger commercial industrial stuff when subbing years ago, was always good back then

Well worth it sticking with them in future - loads of room, everything in the right place, solid as - no earth bar springing out or MCBs cracking if you tighten them up a little too much. Even the knock outs and labelling simples, not the slighest bit fiddley

Have to agree I fitted a 10 way Hager last week as it came fully loaded with 10 mcb of your choice for £82.80.

Not the cheapest but really easy to fit and easy to remove the guts of the board when fitting.

Not used Hager on domestic. I usually use MK. Crabtree are on offer in a few places at the moment as well.

Used hager for a few years now with no problems.the mcbs will fit older hager boards as well.take note mem, square d et all with your rip off practice of making boards obsolete and then charging a kings ransom for an rcbo to fit an existing board.fitted a few mk boards recently and found faulty rcds and a faulty main switch straight out of the box, just the ticket when your 50 miles from home.I'll stick with hager I think

I always use Contactum and never had any problems. Seem very solid, easy and quick to fit, no shoddy workmanship. Anyone here had any problems with Contactum?

Still using the kit myself JUD, I've not had any problems with it. It's in my home and one that I'm doing up. Just bought another small unit to go in the garage.

I used an MK CU recently and was disappointed with it, as it was fully loaded 15 way(i think) and found the row of MCB's sagged in the middle making it a PITA to get the lid on.

I usually use Hager or Crabtree,

I use hager for all domestic jobs not a bad board and never had to go back to one yet for a fault. Although I did have to go back due to the RCD tripping and customer not being able to find out why, turns out the mrs had poured water on the base of the kettle which was still plugged in.

Always keep hager's in stock and breakers tons of room in them too

Not a mention of MG CUs either, but then they are probably a little on the expensive side for a Domestic installation as are ABB etc... lol!!! :whatchutalkingabout

I use Hager all the time

I had a MK consumer unit, and used MK until 2 years ago. Put in a Hager after I started using them

MK are now very poor build quality and unreliable - ended up getting 2 faulty MCB's a month (not latching) before I ditched them

I have used Hager for ages now and really like the quality- they cost more, but you get what you pay for.
I like the fact you can buy neutral links, and neutral bars as spares-means you can fit an extra RCD and MCB's in if you want to add in storage heaters in to the same enclosure

Always use Hager. Simple touches like built in spirit level and the ability to use HRC fuses in the special fuse carriers that clip on the bus bars.

On new build domestic we only ever used to use Hager and up until recently only type i ever have, fitted 1 wylex and dont like them breakers slide on din rail and sag so cover hard work to get on have to keep budging the breakers up to get the cover back on first and last time i fit one
