Hello everyone.
I'm currently looking for an employer to take me on as an electrical apprentice or electricians mate in Devon. I live near Newton Abbot but have a full, clean driving licence and transport so would be able to travel further in Devon.
I have completed C & G (2330) Level 2 with distinction in each theory and practical unit, C & G (2382-12) 17th Edition Wiring Regulation Requirements Incorporating Amendment No.1 with a 96% Pass and I hold an ECS CARD currently as Electrical Labourer.
I am 27 years old and have recently gained some work experience working alongside a local electrician, pulling cables beneath a static home, clipping, fixing additional sockets and installing a new cooker circuit, reshaping kitchen units and making good. Unfortunately the electrician does not have enough work to take me on full time but he is happy with my work and continues to give me the experience. I have worked in a manual environment for over 7 years and am competent and safe with hand and power tools through frequent use.
I have a full set of hand tools and those that require insulation are in excellent condition and conform to IEC 60900, I would pay for my own learning fees if taken on as an apprentice using an advanced loan and would not expect or require an employer to cover any costs.
I am hardworking, reliable, methodical and an excellent timekeeper. I have a good eye for detail and sense of humour and am very committed to pursue a career in the electrical industry and I would offer that full commitment to any employer willing to give me a chance. I'd also be happy to help out if anyone needs a hand in the Devon area as an electricians mate.
