Poorly Candy/Hoover washing machine at home, just trying to work out how feasible it is to change drum bearings or just forget it and buy a new one.

Can anyone advise?

New machine on order!!!

Cheers chaps for the advice.

Now then, new posters - a lesson!

Look what happened here....I didn't know about something, but asked sensible questions, gave proper answers back which showed that I had already tried to look at the problem, constructive discussion ensued with a bit of banter thrown in, no one got sarky, I got the answers I was looking for, the lads were pleased to help, and the whole thing took about ten minutes. And I've had a beer.

I think you have taken the best option of a new machine

Been confronted with this conundrum a few times with my own machines and also family and friends asking for advice. The way I view it if you go down the repair route you are fixing a small part of the machine without any idea of the longevity of the rest of the machine before the next fault even a small repair can end up costing between ÂŁ150 to ÂŁ200 and a new machine (a lot with a 5 year parts warranty) comes in for about ÂŁ300 it's a no brainer IMO
