Anyone know anything about this outfit?

Hi guys.

Does anyone out there know anything about MTB or Master trade of builders?
I have been contacted as a prospective contractor, the set up sounds pretty good.
My concern is that they want £250 + vat as an admin fee before I'm vetted as a contractor for them. Does this seem odd to anyone else?
Their website is www.mtbuk.net.
Any help would be gratefully received as none of us want to get ripped off.

We've had trouble with these since they were UFindUs.com, then CustomerStreet.com, and then BTCustomerStreet.com when they bought them out for millions.

They build crappy websites that don't rank at all and charge your a fortune for it.

So interesting. I've just been for a browse through their "hundred or so" other specialist directories.

The one that jumped out at me right away was "clairvoyantsandphsycics.com" top and centre of the "list".

If only..........just think of the dollars everyone could save if you had them in to do your PIR......

Traders have to go through a rigorous set of checks and pay us £250+VAT before they can even become an M.T.B member, so you know quality is assured."

What a con!

the paragraph should read, "we couldn't give a ---- if the tradesman are cowboys or not, we just want to take £250 off the mugs for now't."

basically, if you want to get "fleeced" go to the wholesalers and buy a dewalt or knickers fleece. at least you'l be warm and for only about £25
