The cables were crimped, then bound....the mini blow torched was used on the heat shrink to finish the job

I've noticed some commercial eBay sellers start off with a somewhat optimistic price, and keep re-listing it when it fails to sell at successively lower prices. They probably have no idea what they can get for it, and don't want to give it away too cheaply. I sometimes buy electronic test equipment, it can be worth waiting - I sometimes see the same item pop up in my saved searches emails, the price dropping each time.
