Anyone know what condition report I can use for AOV check was wondering if I would get away with adding it to the fire alarm condition report. What do you guys think

I assume you mean an automatic opening vent - as part of a SHEV system.

If so, we usually specify a report given by a specialist company, they usually have their own style of report as I don't think there is anything in bsen12101 declaring a specific style.

didn't think so been searching Google that's why I wondered if I'd get get away with adding to the periodic fire after all it's part if the fire system

I don't really get involved in the SHEV side of things, but the reports I have seen are more about the measurements of the flow of gas and so on, rather than purely the electrical /physical operation aspects so they have always been more akin to the hvac side rather than fire alarm systems.

What you're declaring for a Fire Alarm system is the sounders will work, doors will close if mag retainers are used and anything deactivated if designed to do so when the Fire alarm system is activated and there is sufficient coverage.

What you need to declare with AOV is they will activate and that they are sufficient to do the job required which as Julie has said needs a calculation as to the volume of air / smoke that they will pass and that they cover the area(s) sufficiently.

I worked on maintenance in buildings with Smoke extract fan systems.
They were inspected for function / design and tested for airflow by manufacturers of those systems.

I don't think anyone on here is going to say it needs replacing, some may even argue that it's not even a c3.
