I have been asked to connect some Apollo heads and bases which I have no issues with but I have an idea the the sounder base and the head can't be consequential number ie base 1 head 2

Is this the case or do all the bases have to be addressed and then the heads

It's Apollo xp95 kit catechism panel and only 2 loops with no separate sounders

Thanks in advance for any replies

All separate addresses mate or the panel will scream double address all night been to a few nice new panels all double addresses not a nice job sorting it out

Yes I knew they had to be different addresses just just seem to recall that u would have to address sounder bases say 1-10 and the heads from 11-20 not base 1 head 2 base 3 head 4 and so on ..

You have 126 address in total and as long as every device, including sounders have a different address all will be ok There is no order they have to be in, so base sounder 001 and smoke detector 002 or all sounder bases 001-020 and detectors 021-040 any combination is fine. As stated above what out for older sounder bases, some of the dip switches are incorrect and arse about face. If you can get your hands on a Apollo loop tester, this will save alot of time trying to sort out double address. If you run out of addresses, or you wish to be lazy, leave base sounder addressess at 001 and autolearn panel, this will put all base sounders in Hi address, 127-245, the tick base sounder fitted in software.

Xpert card goes into base to address the detector, the dip switches on the base are to address sounder, as stated what out for the old bases have reverse switches

No aslong as they are all different, than thats ok , so you can address all call points 001-020 and all smokes 021-050 no matter where they are on the loop. Some guys address them this way so they know how they have been fitted, My best advice is to mark the addresses on the drawings for reference later.
