Knipex cutter, bahco combi pliers, draper expert interchangable screwdriver set, ck claw hammer ,eclipse junior hacksaw,Beta tools full size hacksaw mains socket tester look on eBay for that there is one that's identical to the DiLog one and is the same unit but 1/3 of the price( I have both) 3.5 threaded by hall engineering,tape measure By Irwin (screwfix), toolbox Stanley tools get a decent thickness of plastic on the walls so it won't split if it gets dropped or bashed ( you'll only end up buying another. !)
Mini spirit level from screwfix and a BT tool off eBay again

As an apprentice your employer should be providing you with tools.Dont spend a whole lot of money to start with .Buy one or two tools a week they will quickly build up.I am sure the blokes you are working with will give you a few to help you out

Ive been on my aprentaship for over and year and still adding to my tools list.

If you need to borrow something 2-3 times in a day then its something worth thinking about.

Don't bother with power tools they will get abused by most

My spelling is terrible i make no bones about it, usually its down to not proof reading what i type.

Quite often ill mean to type/say one word but say another

A cheap but invaluable tool to have in your Box is a 3.5mm Back box re-threader or a (Tap as they are usually called) you can pick them up for about 2/3 quid on Ebay/Amazon, for those rare times you wear out a thread When 2nd fixing especially if you have to use the Long screws ,also pick up a 4mm Tap just incase you can't re-thread with a 3.5mm ,it will save you a lot of Time & Hassle than having to replace the Box or if you can't remove the box it will save you from Having to drill through the back of the box so you can tighten up the screw so the Socket/Switch plate is secure enough not to move

if you're an apprentice, forget the tools - all you need is a kettle, sugar, a shed load of teabags and enough mugs to service the work force.

As an apprentice you are a modern day slave

3.5 for sockets

4mm for conduit boxes

All I Will add, Look after your tools and they will last you years,still got some bought when I was 16 am 50 now!!.Good luck to you in your chosen career.
