hi everyone looking for a bit advice im a time served spark done my time in industrial been out my time for 4 years but for the last six months been working as a domestic spark just doing kitchens bathroom rewires etc and love it realised this is the field i want to be in. Ive now been given a few chances at contracts and starting to look like i could go self employed, was speaking to select yesterday but they say you need to be approved to join is nic the same? if so does anyone know how i go about becoming approved or what do you guys do with certificates meant to say im booked in to do 17th edition and inspect and test in two weeks time thanks alot in advance

You basically need to join a scheme, I personally recomend Napit, although others exist, you are eligible to join as your time served the only requirement is that you get 17th edition within first year of membership, so pay your fees get inspected on two jobs (one major, one minor) and then away you go, best o luck and if you need more info shout......
