Good morning,

I get bombarded (well 2) by emails from companies claiming they can find and win tenders for a monthly subscription. Could I ask what your experience is and whether any companies are worth looking at?

Suggest that they give you 3 months service free and if you get enough leads from them to make it work you will consider paying them.

many of these company’s are just a scam and take money with no useful leads being sent to you.

NO. NO. NO.
Even if it wasn't a straight forward scam of take the money and disappear, they won't / can't guarantee any work.
Even if they did win work, they may have hundreds / thousands of people who have subscribed so the chances of them giving it to you are remote.
And if they did give you any you may be working for peanuts or less.

If you are in Scotland the Scottish Government have their own portal
Thank you, there are portals like that in England too I think. I've only done it once on our local one and it was beyond a palaver. What I was talking about was tenderers bidding professionally on your behalf. I'm not very good at the wordy side of it, but if its a rip off then I won't consider it.

Thank you, that's sort of what I suspected. It's so hard wording the tenders at time, when companies want your shoe size in order to get in with a chance! I wondered if it was worth getting someone to do it for you.

I might do that, thank you. Anything to stop having to think about the "positive influences the electrical contractors will bring to the site" and other weird questions when all I want to do is bid on a first and second fix!
