As Installed drawings

Hi guys I need to produce a set of as installed drawings for an install we recently completed

It's nothing fancy, a storage facility with approximately 10 circuits

Is there any software/programmes out there which would be able to produce pdf's without breaking the bank?

Not sure, about cheap, I used auto cad to be honest but I did a lot of drawings

Same here live on AutoCAD and Cymap. For cheap have a look at Visio or use MS office very basic but will produce a not to scale sketch. Have you looked at Draftsight uses same file type as autocad. Never used it so can’t comment on it but it’s Free unlike autocad.

We use Autocad and I've also got the full singing and dancing autocad at home. I told an architect I couldn't open their drawing so they gave me a copy of their license. That was 3 years ago, it still works and updates!!!!

For simple stuff (Schematics etc) I use draw.io it's free and online.

Bluebeam revu is another one to look at, pretty decent for price, there are different versions for different prices.

Autocad LT is reasonable for 2D drawings. You can pay for just a month at a time for less than £40. Trial is free for 30 days so maybe enough for your project?

AutoCAD is great but it's a large learning curve and it's expensive. We use the MEP version for complex drawings.

Paint.net will probably work for basic drawings. It's free. Paint.NET - Download - https://www.getpaint.net/download.html
You'll also need to install Microsoft's .net framework. There's tons of youtube tutorials and plugins available, it's relatively easy to use.

I also use Visio which I got bundled with a version of Microsoft Office I have. If you're making drawings regularly Visio is quicker because it's shapes based and after the first few drawings you can drag the shapes you've made in previous drawings and drop them in your new ones.

I used to use AutoCAD but binned it off. Paying monthly for software is a joke as well.

I now use TurboCAD 21 Platinum, it cost £14 from eBay for a license and is very similar to AutoCAD for 2D, 3D is better!
