How often have you come across a consumer unit fitted......upside down??
Now, I’ve seen quite a few fitted sideways where space was a problem, but I think this is the first for me. No obvious reason for this, plenty of room, circuits were long enough and routing of tails wasn’t a problem. It took me a second or two to realise what I was looking at.

Wondering how I’d Code this on an EICR.

And yes, I should have taken a photo!

I’m sure the manufacturer’s instructions on every consumer unit I’ve examined have stated with some certainty that there is only one way to install them correctly.

Hence the visual aids below.

And no, I didn’t.
