Could you please advise regarding auxiliary power for load bank? Could it be used UPS system with suitable output power for that, there will be contactors and cooling fan with maximum load 7-10amps.

Load bank is used on generators. (To help them "stretch their legs") Helps romve the carbon inside the generator if you put enough load on it. Aux power is used so the fans can run. I may be wrong but I have never heard of it being used on a UPS

Aux circuits powered from mains supply...load bank there for loading genie for testing etc as Marky said....power failure changeover to genie supply for aux circuits. Thats how our standard set up is.

Alisha,

How can load bank elements overheat if the Genny trips out??

As stated above here, load banks come in two basic varieties, those that bring engine load up to preserve engine reliability, and those for testing and commissioning overall gen-set capabilities....

If load bank main power to resistance and auxiliary to control circuit comes from one source for example main generator and in case of generator trip with fail to start stand by load bank will overheat because cooling fan stop.

Alisha,

If there is no power coming from the Generator, then there is no power to overheat the load bank!!! Load banks only come on line when Genny is on line and load is too low for the drive engine to operate efficiently. Example, load bank will drop out when Alternator is is supplying over 65/70% of it's nominal rating. Apart from that, it is highly unlikely that resistive elements will over heat as you put it, they are rated for the make-up load of the Genny and normally positioned externally in open air, but protected enclosures from the Genny building/room. They don't rely on forced air cooling, even if so provided, theoretically they can in extreme circumstances glow red hot, ......but that's not going to happen if there isn't any power supply to them, because the Genny tripped out or failed to start!!! ...is it ??

During normal operation fan cooling the resistance elements which are energized and it is in manual that for normal stop of load bank set load bank to ''0'' it will de-energize all resistance elements and run cooling fan for 10 minutes and then fully isolate.
but it is not my main subject i would like to now could i connect portable ups to auxiliary socket, and elements in circuit will be several contactors and one or two fan motors 0.45kW, purpose is to keep running cooling fan in case of main power failure.

Seems your just not listening!! ...but never mind, ....Yes you can connect a portable UPS unit to supply just the cooling fans, if your that dead set on wasting money.

The contactors your talking about, are for load bank stage control. The lower the actual load on the Gen-Set, the more stages of resistor elements will be used to bring the load up to an efficient working level for the drive engine.

From my point of view, e-mail NY Escort does bring great convenience for people, but it is not a NY Escorts better way to express our feelings than traditional letters.
