Well its what i do for a living! what do you want to know? What do you want to do? Whats your budget?

ta dragon jut looked through your site and your work looks good

i just want to know the basics at first really like what cables you need togo where

when i finally get a house id probley go for a room with projector in with suround sound speakers in every room and all on a remote which would do lighting

sorry for been thick and basic dont know to much about it you see and all goto start somewere :D

New site will be a lot better, there is no real way to do the cabling without knowing exactly what the usage will be. but for the full shooting match, Audio Video lighting CCTV Cinema etc. You needs lots of different cables all going to different places. Most sys, with a sprinkliuntems use a mix of Caox,Cat5, speaker cable and multicore with a sprinkling of T+E

tv on wall plus a projector for films games and suround sound

Room 3 kitchen

just a tv on wall

all rooms to have mood lighting like pelmet lighting, wall lights, undercupboard lights and kickboard lights etc Would like all these on remote control if possible

all rooms to have speakers in for mp3/cds

would i be able to have dvd player games console and all controls under the stairs near consumer unit or would they need to be near tv in main room

Yes to everything... Infact I am in the middle of doing that (on a larger scale) at the moment, infact the Audio, CCTV and lights are controlled from Remote, inwall touch screen and Iphones!

DVD's from server in cupboard upstairs 2 Sky HD boxes to everyroom in HD 2 rooms of full 5.1 surround, TV's in every room (inc bathrooms) Audio in every room inc 2 garden zones, they didnt go for the 42" Screen for the hottub! (done that before) then you add the Phone and data wiring.

Lighting is the most complex wiring the rest is dead simple...

Only thing that can be tricky is console unstairs for playing games in multiple rooms

wow

would it be posible if you already arent to take pics of that

how much for materials would the above cost

is there some kind of course you have been on or is it self taught

Total cost exc the screens is about ÂŁ65k for that job... BTW thats inc VAT :)

I have a degree in Electronic systems enginenring (BSc 2:1) and an HND in Microcomputing as well as lots of other courses specific to the various systems including several exams and other seminars, but largely self taught I had to get an iphone last month to beta test the system with next year.

For your house, it wont be as much but there is alot of different ways to achieve what your after at various costs.

PS where are you?
