Of course it wouldn't, if anything it's going to get you more attention from the local constabulary. They seem to turn a blind eye if it's fallen off and you're displaying it in the front windscreen but if it wasn't there at all you're getting pulled and a ticket.
Plus if it's in the front windscreen the cameras will still be able to see it
