bad switch or unkown fault

after installing and commissioning a new lighting circuit i have been called back twice now to replace a switch (same one)

it works perfect than after a few days of use it will turn on and after prolonged use it wont turn off (the rocker moves but thats all)

it powers 1x 36W fitting.

i have today changed it for a crab tree switch to see if that is any better...! might have picked up a dodgy batch from wholesalers possibly???

what do you chaps think!??

Think your right mate probabley forgotten to grease the rocker had it a few times with legrand ,

well its annoying to say the least! might stick with crabtree from now on as i like the feel of them...

i had it on a rewire a couple of years ago. it was annoying to say the least think that was a bad batch

must admit i do like crabtree , one make thats also good is scolmore "click" they do light switches that you can change the backs so if you need a 2 gang 1 2 way and 1 intermediate you can just change the switches they are good to worth a try with them mate

will have a look at them... only problem wholesaler i use is good but not good enough! they have limited market and are bit scared to try new things!

Hhmm. No experience of those. But being a British manufacturer you like to hope their QC is top notch.
Why don't you send the faulty ones back direct to BG and see what they have to say?

I used to use BG - until I got a faulty batch of twin sockets with faulty switches.

I used Crabtree or MK (if I could get a good deal) after that.
